RAIN / Software

Ask a question. Inspect the evidence.

A proposed assistant for working with approved local information, with source context close to the answer and a person responsible for the decision.

Product direction

INTELLIGENCE BELONGS WHERE THE DATA LIVES.

01 / THE IDEA

Useful answers need a traceable basis.

RAIN Assist is a local-assistant product direction, not a released chat application. The intended experience is to help a team locate and interpret relevant material without hiding uncertainty or the source it came from. It has not been validated by the telemetry simulator.

01

A bounded information set

Start with approved documents or records and a defined audience. Broad access is not a substitute for a useful collection.

02

Answers with context

The proposed interface would keep relevant source passages and document versions available for inspection.

03

Room for uncertainty

A useful assistant must distinguish missing evidence from a supported answer and leave consequential decisions with the reviewer.

02 / IN PRACTICE

How the pieces come together.

Define the scope, preserve the boundary, and make the outcome something a person can inspect.

  1. 01

    Choose a question set

Collect the recurring questions a team wants help with and identify the materials that could answer them.

  2. 02

    Assess the response

Check whether an answer addresses the question and accurately reflects the cited source context.

  3. 03

    Review before relying

Have the responsible person verify the evidence, resolve ambiguities, and decide the next step.

03 / A FEW DETAILS

Worth understanding.

Can I use RAIN Assist now?

There is no released assistant or access program announced on this page. It describes a product direction that requires separate implementation and evaluation.

Would local hosting make every answer correct?

No. Local hosting concerns the deployment boundary. Retrieval quality, model behavior, and human review remain separate questions to evaluate.

BUILD WITH RAIN

One site. One question.
A useful next step.

RAIN is preparing for its first field pilot. Start by defining the environment, the data boundary, and what success should look like.
