A connection is more than a connector.

The useful starting point is the telemetry available at your facility: what it measures, how it is sampled and who owns access. RAIN’s current implementation uses a battery-storage simulator. A catalog of production connectors is not published; each proposed site requires integration and validation work.

Equipment and telemetry

Inventory the source systems, available interfaces and sampling behavior. Identify asset IDs, timestamps, units and quality indicators before choosing an adapter approach.

Local compute and storage

Scope the hardware around the signal volume, model workload, retention needs and site constraints. The production hardware configuration is not finalized.

Operator workflow

Decide who reviews advisories and how the supporting evidence fits the existing process. Keep action in the operator’s established control systems.

    Inventory the source

    Document available telemetry and access permissions. Confirm whether the required detail exists and what gaps or timing limits may affect the question.

    Agree a read-only boundary

    Define the permitted connection, local retention and responsibilities. Do not assume cloud access or a command path is necessary for the local loop.

    Validate the adapter

    Use representative data to check mapping, timing and failure behavior. Verify the integration at the site before drawing conclusions from model output.

Are AWS, Azure or Google Cloud connectors available?

No production cloud connector catalog is published. The intended local learning loop keeps raw telemetry on-site, and production uplink transport remains unfinished work.

Can RAIN connect to our existing equipment?

That depends on the available interfaces, telemetry quality and access boundary. Start with an inventory in the pilot brief so the required adapter work can be scoped.
