Methodology context
Keep the institution’s approved methodology and its version associated with the analysis under review.
RAIN / Software
An exploratory workspace for internal finance teams to inspect methodology inputs, document assumptions, and explain differences between reviewed scenarios.
Product direction
01 / THE IDEA
This application direction concerns the documentation and review around an institution’s own funds transfer pricing process. RAIN has not implemented or validated a financial pricing engine. The concept is to make approved inputs and assumptions easier to inspect, without prescribing a methodology or rate.
Keep the institution’s approved methodology and its version associated with the analysis under review.
Explore linking scenario inputs to their source, date, and responsible owner so changes can be explained.
Support analyst comparison of internally prepared scenarios by organizing the changed inputs and documented rationale.
02 / IN PRACTICE
Define the scope, preserve the boundary, and make the outcome something a person can inspect.
Select an internal review task and identify the approved methodology, input material, and accountable reviewer.
Evaluate whether the workspace accurately preserves input definitions and makes differences understandable.
Keep conclusions and approvals within the institution’s established finance and governance process.
03 / A FEW DETAILS
No financial pricing engine or rate recommendation is offered. This page describes a proposed evidence and review workspace.
No such validation or deployment is claimed. The current implemented RAIN foundation is a telemetry learning loop running against an energy-storage simulator.
BUILD WITH RAIN
RAIN is preparing for its first field pilot. Start by defining the environment, the data boundary, and what success should look like.
