RAIN / INVESTOR OVERVIEW September 2026 THE THESIS Move the model to the operational data. RAIN is building DOM, an edge AI hardware and software system for facilities that need local inference, local learning and control over their raw telemetry. STAGE AND INITIAL FOCUS Pre-seed. Renewable energy is the initial focus. The edge implementation is currently validated against a simulated battery-storage plant; a real-site pilot is the next validation milestone. THE CUSTOMER PROBLEM Equipment-level signals can be lost in aggregated reporting. Models need to adapt to local operating conditions. A cloud-dependent learning loop introduces bandwidth, connectivity and data-sharing constraints. THE SYSTEM RAIN Node: the planned on-site compute, storage and equipment connectivity layer. A conceptual architecture illustration shows these roles; hardware configuration is not finalized and will be scoped to a pilot. RAIN Runtime: software for read-only telemetry capture, local inference and retraining, evaluation of candidate models, and signed audit history. Operators receive advisories. Plant control remains separate. WHAT WORKS TODAY The supplied project briefing describes implemented telemetry capture, local storage, inference, retraining, promotion/rollback and audit components running against a battery-storage simulator. This demonstrates loop mechanics; it does not establish field reliability or customer outcomes. WHAT COMES NEXT 1. Harden model evaluation, detection and sustained operation on target hardware. 2. Scope a design-partner pilot with clear data access and operator success criteria. 3. Evaluate signal quality, alert usefulness and stability at that site. 4. Use that evidence to define repeatable onboarding, support and commercial terms. EXPANSION TO VALIDATE Solar and wind are proposed applications. Their edge adapters and field validation remain future work. A shared runtime is intended to support additional assets as those integrations are proven. COMMERCIAL QUESTIONS FOR THE PILOT What operational decision improves? What deployment and support effort is needed? What ongoing value does the local software provide? Hardware configuration and commercial terms will be scoped with design partners. CURRENT BOUNDARIES No edge field deployment is claimed. Production uplink transport, hardware-backed signing and delivery of upstream model artifacts to the node remain unfinished product work. The website's dashboard readings and compute, storage and read-only connectivity diagram are illustrative. The diagram describes system roles; it does not depict a finalized hardware design. FOR AN INVESTOR CONVERSATION Discuss the product thesis, evidence required for field readiness, the initial customer focus and the milestones needed to reach repeatable deployments. This overview is a local download from the RAIN website. It does not submit an inquiry or collect contact information.
